Leena Acharya’s death
Mini-screen actress Leena Acharya died of kidney failure on Saturday (21 Nov. 2020). She was undergoing treatment in New Delhi. She was 38 years old.
Though Leena Acharya primarily worked in the tele-industry, her association with the Rani Mukerji film Hichki (2018), brought her to fame. She was a versatile actress who shared notable screen presence in various TV shows.
Some of them were Savdhaan India, Seth Ji, Aap Ke Aa Jane Se, Crime Patrol, Meri Hanikarak Biwi, CID, Pardes, Me Hai Mera Dil, and Beyhadh. She also acted in a few web series that include Gandii Baat and Class of 2020.
Viral Instagram Post
She was highly active in social media platforms, especially Instagram. She constantly shared her performance videos and pictures on shooting locations.
However, the Instagram post that she shared a month back has suddenly become viral upon her death. It was a Hindi quote that read:
“Chand saasein hi hain jo uda lejayengi aur isse zyada maut kya le jayegi.” (Only a few breaths will take me away, what else will take death from me).
Numerous celebrities, friends and co-stars of Leena Acharya expressed their sorrow over her death.
Rohan Mehra, one of the lead actors of the web series Class of 2020, recalled his moments with Leena on shooting sets.
He shared a selfie and mentioned that at this time, last year, they were together for shooting the series.
Another actor Abhishek Bhalerao expressed his sadness over her demise. He remembered her amazing talent in acting and her beautiful soul.
Bhalerao also shared their ‘last’ conversation in which he had asked her to come to Mumbai. Her reply was that she was on rest this year and could only make it next year.
Seth Ji co-star Worship Acharya mourned her death on Instagram. He shared a photo with Leena on his Instagram story and wrote: “It’s sad when the person who gave you the memories becomes one. RIP.”
