The movie builds perfectly on the relationship between the main characters Celine and Jesse, has brilliant dialogue and fantastic performance from Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. Everything that was ‘dreamy’ in the previous movies came true in the last movie.
Celine and Jesse had to try to make their relationship work for the long haul and this was portrayed very realistically.
Before Midnight had the same brilliant quality as the previous two films and cemented the ‘Before’ trilogy as one of the best ever.
the return of the king
The inclusion of this film does not surprise anyone at all, of course, but with good reason. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King it is the best of the three films and won no less than 11 Oscars (pretty rare for a fantasy film).
Peter Jackson managed to turn one of the best books ever into one of the best movie trilogies ever. We’re not going to see anything like this any time soon.
