Where Netflix is going big with 65 new titles in March 2023, Disney+ is much more selective. These are the new documentaries, movies and series that will be released next month. With all the lights on of course the mandalorian season 3.
You’d almost forget it, especially this month, but there’s more to Disney+ than Marvel and Star Wars. For example, the streaming service nowadays excels at music documentaries, and of course there’s tons of content through Star, National Geographic, and Hulu, for example.
New to Disney+ in March 2023
For example, a new documentary about the members of U2 and a film about the infamous serial killer Albert Henry DeSalvo, better known as the Boston Strangler, will be released this month.

But of course we start with our favorite Star Wars series. Din Djarin and Grogu meet again and go on another adventure through the galaxy far, far away. A lot has happened between seasons 2 and 3. An unmissable part of the story even took place in another Star Wars series, Boba Fett’s book. Read these seven to jog your memory before beginning season three.

Loretta McLaughlin becomes the first person to reveal the story of the Boston Strangler. She and Jean Cole defy the sexism of the early 1960s to take down the most notorious serial killer in town. With, among others, Keira Knightley (Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace) in Chris Cooper (American Beauty) in the cast, this is a promising film. Read more here.
