‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ Big Winner at Critics Choice Awards


Of course, award ceremonies aren’t always predictable, but the Critics Choice Awards are known as the most predictable of the bunch. Also, this year’s winner is not a big surprise: Everything Everywhere All at Once takes down a spectacular number of statues, namely five.

The awards are for Best Director (The Daniels), Best Supporting Actor (Ke Huy Quan), Best Original Screenplay, Best Editing and, of course, Best Picture. Great competitor for the Oscar The Fabelmans only manages to win one statuette, namely the one for best young actor (Gabriel LaBelle).

The biggest surprise of the night is perhaps the winner of the best actor category: Brendan Fraser is voted best actor for his role in The Whale, ahead of previous winners Colin Farrell and Austin Butler. In his speech he remembers the deep valley in which he has been and the return that he is grateful for. The whale and made other movies: “Get up and go towards the light. Then good things will happen”.

The winner of the best actress category is Cate Blanchett for Tár. This makes the race even more interesting: will she definitely win against Michelle Yeoh? By the way, she won Deposit another prize: the one for ‘best score’, which is right in front of [film=]Babylon[/film] happens
