The Spanish criminal action thriller series “The Longest Night,” also known as “La Noche más large,” was created by Xosé Morais and Victor Sierra. The Alligator, whose actual name is Simón Lago, a serial murderer, was first apprehended. Instead of being transported to a high-security jail, he is placed in the Baruch Hill Psychiatric Correctional Facility, which is a hybrid of a prison and hospital. Hugo Roca, the prison’s warden or director, quickly learns that his oldest daughter Laura has been abducted. If Hugo turns over Simón, the kidnappers threaten to murder Laura. Hugo discovers that these are the ones he is meant to protect the serial murderer from, as an armed group of people shown there.
The first season of “The Longest Night” garnered favorable reviews after its debut. The tempo, acting, and fast-paced action received excellent reviews. We have the answer to your question on whether “The Longest Night” will get a second season.
The Longest Night Season 2 Release Date
Season 1 of “The Longest Night” debuted on Netflix on July 8, 2022. It has six episodes that each last between 42 and 49 minutes. The development of “The Longest Night’s” second season has not been confirmed by either the show’s creators or officials from Netflix. However, considering that the first season ends on a cliffhanger and the ending raises more questions than it answers, it is clear that the show’s makers have plans for more than one season.
Since “Money Heist,” Netflix has attempted to duplicate the program’s popularity by releasing a sizable volume of Spanish-language material, but nothing has met the bar until now. ‘The Longest Night’ had a terrible marketing campaign before it was released, yet it is such an effective program that it may be a proper sequel to ‘Money Heist’ despite that.
There is a potential that the program may be renewed for season 2 in the following months if it turns out to be a success. If that occurs, season 2 of “The Longest Night” will debut sometime in 2023’s fourth quarter. If you loved season 1 of the longest night, you can watch Roswell, New Mexico Season 3
The Longest Night Season 2 Cast
Alberto Ammann (Hugo Roca), Luis Callejo (Simón Lago), José Luis Garca Pérez (Lennon), Barbara Goenaga (Elisa Montero), Maria Caballero (Laura), Xabier Deive (Bastos), and Sabela Arán are the stars of “The Longest Night” season 1. (Macarena Montes). The cast also features Elisa Matilla (Rosa), Pablo Alamá (Rey), ngel Pardo (Andrés), Daniel Albaladejo (Cherokee), Roberto Lamo (Ruso), Laia Manzanares (Sara), Cecilia Freire (Manuela), Adolfo Fernández (Dr. Espada), and Alejandro Tous (the man with the long hair).
Arán is one of these actresses, and as her character is most likely dead, she won’t be present in the next season 2, with the possible exception of flashback sequences. Hugo and Simón’s struggle and contrast may still be a significant part of the plot, in which case Ammann and Callejo, who play the two characters, will probably return. As the remaining cast members’ tales seem incomplete, they will likely repeat their roles and be accompanied by new cast members.
The Longest Night Season 2 Plot
Hugo desperately tries to rescue Baruca from the assailants in the season 1 finale, and he can reach Rosa and Andrés to deliver them Simón’s evidence of life. Even though Laura avoids being shot, the stress worsens her cardiac conditions. The image of Rosa and Andrés with Hugo and the guy with the long hair—the one guiding Lennon all night—is shown to the audience at Rosa and Andrés home.
Cherokee’s deceit is revealed to Manuela. Simón kills one of the assailants, saving the other two children, Elisa and Hugo. Hugo and Lennon determine that Simón is receiving assistance from outside as the cops show up.
Laura will probably live in the next season 2 since Rosa and Andrés already have the medication. The guy with the long hair may show up at Baruch to bargain with the representatives he dispatched. Simón’s enigmatic aide might be identified. Manuela may attempt to murder Cherokee because she feels deceived.
